Topic: Does dress code and uniform work in amercia?

Introduction:

                Hook: Through my three interviews this semester, I have heard different opinions about dress code and uniform in school. Especially Japan which did well at part of enforces students’ uniform in school.

                Thesis statement: In my point of view, uniform or dress code does help the school to maintain their environment well and improve academic result.

Body:

                First main point:

                Uniform: Start at “why” and “when”.

1. UK started their uniform because of poor.

2. in nineteenth and early twentieth century. American stated uniform to make action to the minorities.

                Second main point:

                Dress code:

                Start at what difference between uniform policy and dress code.

                There are mainly four considerations of dress code:

1.       Whether the clothing creates health and safety concerns.

2.       Whether the clothing is oppressive oneself or to others,

3.       Whether the clothing significantly inhibits the educational aims of the school.

4.        Whether the clothing is essential to a person’s identity.

Third main point:

Advantages of uniform or dress code work in America.

Fourth main point:

Disadvantages of uniform or dress code work in America.

Conclusion:

                It’s hard to set up a dress code. There are three main rules that may give coordinator some help. And then make school reach their ultimate goals which is academic improvement and secure environment.
